Uniforms

Promenade Dance has a set uniform policy and we are sure our students will wear their uniform with pride. Correct dance attire is essential for enhancing a student’s competency in performing dance steps as well as preventing injury.

We realise that if you are starting classes with us for the first time, it may take a couple of weeks for you to purchase the items required.

 

Leotards and shoes are available from Donna Calista’s, Keppel St, Bathurst or online at www.bloch.com.au or www.energetiks.com.au. Additional uniform items available to order at front desk.

Performance at Eisteddfods will require students to wear the school tracksuit. Orders for tracksuits will be organised during Term 1.

  • Pre-Primary & Primary Classes (Girls)
    Girls wear a jacaranda gathered front leotard, jacaranda wrap skirt, socks or pink ballet tights and full sole ballet shoes with elastic.
  • Pre-Primary & Primary Classes (Boys)
    Boys wear a white fitted t-shirt, black shorts/leggings and black canvas ballet shoes.
  • Ballet Grade 1 to 8 (Girls)
    Jacaranda gathered front leotard, or princess line camisole leotard. Full sole Ballet shoes with elastic. Black character shoes. Black character skirt (with pink ribbons-these are hired from the school) Grade 1 – 2: socks or pink ballet tights. Grade 3 – 8: pink ballet tights
  • Ballet Grade 1 to 8 (Boys)
    Boys wear white fitted t-shirt and black shorts/leggings and black canvas ballet shoes.
  • Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2 (Girls)
    Black camisole leotard, pink ballet tights, soft sole ballet shoes, demi-pointes (Intermediate and above) and pointe shoes. Students are permitted to wear the Jacaranda wrap skirt and Jacaranda crossover in ballet class.
  • Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2 (Boys)
    Boys wear white fitted t-shirt and black shorts/leggings and black canvas ballet shoes.
  • Jazz, Tap, Modern / Contemporary and Acro Dance (Girls)
    Juniors: Jazz students are to wear a Jacaranda leotard, ¾ dance tights/ dance pants/ skirt or shorts, singlet or cross over back top and tan / camel jazz shoes (with or without laces). Tap students are to wear tan/camel Tap shoes. Lyrical Modern / Contemporary students are to wear a Jacaranda leotard, ¾ dance tights/ dance pants/ skirt or shorts, singlet or cross over back top and bare feet or foot thongs. Seniors: Jazz and Lyrical Modern/Contemporary students can wear the above uniform with a black or Jacaranda leotard.
  • Jazz, Tap, Modern / Contemporary and Acro Dance (Boys)
    Boys wear a white fitted t-shirt and black shorts/ leggings with black jazz/tap shoes.
  • READY SET DANCE / READY SET BALLET / TUMBLETOWN
    Pink and blue tutu leotard with tan jazz shoes for the girls. In winter the official READY SET DANCE wrap will be available. Blue READY SET DANCE t shirt with black shorts and black jazz shoes for the boys. Coloured TumbleTown T-shirt with black leggings or shorts and bare feet
  • Grooming
    Students are expected to be well groomed with long hair in a tight bun for ballet classes or neatly tied back for all other classes. Short hair should be kept off the face with a head band. Uniform should be clean and tidy. Watch this bun tutorial on how to create the perfect bun.
